GREEN LANE, Devizes

This site formed part of the Roundway Hospital complex originally opened in 1851 as a Mental Asylum with the original building being designed by the noted Victorian Architect, Thomas Henry Wyatt. This building was in the Classical Palladian style built of Bath Stone with natural low pitched slate roofs and gabled towers.

Our proposals for the site are for a development of 26 1 & 2 Bedroom flats and 36 2, 3 and 4 Bed houses with 19 of the units being affordable. The previous use and proximity to the listed hospital buildings have required us to ensure that we respond carefully to the character to the area, which is why we have adopted a sensitive approach that takes into consideration the setting within the formal hospital grounds on this rural edge of Devizes.
