Upper Bristol Road Bath

On Wednesday this week NC Architects and Impact Planning held an exhibition of the Proposed Redevelopment of this site at the TA centre to show and explain the scheme to members of the immediate community who had been invited along. It was a very interesting session with many questions being asked of both firms. The evening provided an opportunity for dialogue with local residents who proved to be both very knowledgeable and who had a genuine interest.

While we would be the first to acknowledge this is not the normally the most enjoyable part of the process, on this occasion it was very pleasant, and I believe both we and the residents learned a good deal about our mutual concerns in a cordial and polite atmosphere which is not always the case at such events. We believe they appreciated the nuances of how the scheme has been developed and we listened and promised to try as much as we can to overcome their concerns along with those of the Council. We will be responding over the next few weeks with amended proposals and additional information in response to Ecological, Parking, Landscape and Scale and Massing concerns regarding parts of the scheme, which may lead to a reduction in the number of dwellings proposed.

The attached montage shows the proposed scheme from the River Avon.
